Getting a message something like this?
"I'm sorry, but there was a Record Error:
Ripper 0 (http://64.236.36.54:80/stream/1003) reported an error:
could not connect to the stream. Try checking the stream that is up
and that your proxy settings are correct. Killing stream. "That message just means that StationRipperConsolse.exe was not able to make a outbound connection (on port 80) to that URL.
This can be caused by a lot of things, including:
- The URL is invalid.
- The server is down or otherwise unavailable.
- There is a general connection issue.
- You’re behind a firewall (or something else) that is not allowing the exe to get out to connect.
If all stations are not working, then 99% of the time, it’s #4. Make sure StationRipperConsole.exe has free outbound access. You can (temporarily!) turn your firewall off and try, to see if that’s it.
If most stations work, but one doesn't then try directly listing that station with your player (iTunes, WinAmp, etc.) to make sure the URL is actually valid.
