Topic: My Stations has garbage in itPosted: 28 September 2004 at 5:39pm |

I had ripped a bunch of streams under beta 2.00b9. Today, downloaded and installed 2.00b10. When I go into MY STATIONS, I have my recent station ripped at the top - as expected. Below that I have 6 entries - there is no STATION Name (blank for all 6) and the Song Lengths are all 0 as is the K Recorded all 0. There are creation dates. When I highlight them to Delete them, they delete on that screen. When I relaunch that window, they're back as before. I can't seem to clear this garbage out of that screen.

Good example of why we have a beta :) I changed how the message processing was working for starting a stream recently - before, the station wouldn't show up in the station list until it started processing the stream. If that took a while, there was lag, which is annoying. So it goes in right away - but is causing the above problem if it never connects. I've made a mod that should fix this. I don't have a easy way to fix your (It deletes by URL and yours doesn't have any). How painful would it be to manually delete the StationRipper.MDB file and re-install? (You'll get a clean one that way). If you've got a big one and don't want to do that, either edit with MS Access (if you have that), or send it to me and I'll fix it. Thanks for the great bug find! -Greg |

I have v11 and have this too. Several stations that are blank and so forth. Was this supposed to be fixed in this version or should I go into access and delete them? What about revising the database using an autonumber field that gets assigned to new records and use that field as the selection criteria for your db queries? PS, sorry for not being around much the past few days, I've been in an online class at night sudying ISA Server. What fun!!! Lets hope I learn enought to pass the certification test. I've been slammed at work too. |

hey goodolfriend - All I did was exit SR. Go into the main directory and delete the .MDB file. Then I resinstalled SR 2.00B11 |
