Poor quality, clicks & pops in Windows 7

   I have been running station ripper for years with no problems, but when I installed on my new windows 7 system I get poor quality sound (temporal distortion) with clicks and pops in the playback while ripping and in the recorded track.

Any ideas?

I running the latest version 2.98.2 with 20Mbit/second internet connection.
