I purchased a copy of the standard version of StationRipper (v2.93).

Basically, the program doesn't work. When I start the StationSniffer, it says that it's ripping a stream, and yet when I start Pandora, nothing is being recorded.

Clicking on the various Help files is useless as nothing at all comes up, regardless of what I click on.

When I to download the new version - again, nothing happens.

I rebooted my PC and restarted the app. Now I get a message telling me that there is a problem with my MDB file. I've verified that the StationRipper.mdb is in the correct directory (although why an enduser should have to worry about something like that is beyond me. I've also verified that my Microsoft MDB file is up to date.

So what's the deal - did I purchase a piece of software that just doesn't work or what? Seems awfully darn buggy for production software.

Hi Ron,

Sorry you ran into problems.

Take a look at this and see if it helps:http://www.stationripper.com/wiki/StationSnifferHelp.ashx

The #1 problem is something preventing the sniffer from running. To see if this is it, go to View->Options, Advanced Options and check "Show StationRipper Console". Then start the sniffer - if a window doesn't come up, or comes up and then goes away, try (Temporarily) disabling any virus/firewall software and running again.

I'm not sure on the MDB file - that's not something you'd normally worry about. What exactly is the error message?
