asdfsadfsa This is the log I got (I blanked the song titles and artist): ----------------------------------------------------------- ----------------------------------------------------------- I looked at that and tried running the command line: "C:\Program Files\Ratajik Software\StationRipper\StationRipperConsole.exe" http://205.188.234.66:8010 -d "C:\Program Files\Ratajik Software\StationRipper\Work" -u "WinampMPEG/5.0" -w StationRipper -n 0 -r 10069 The output I got was: ----------------------------------------------------------- frameoffset != READSIZE frameoffset != READSIZE frameoffset != READSIZE frameoffset != READSIZE frameoffset != READSIZE frameoffset != READSIZE frameoffset != READSIZE frameoffset != READSIZE frameoffset != READSIZE frameoffset != READSIZE frameoffset != READSIZE frameoffset != READSIZE frameoffset != READSIZE frameoffset != READSIZE frameoffset != READSIZE frameoffset != READSIZE frameoffset != READSIZE frameoffset != READSIZE frameoffset != READSIZE frameoffset != READSIZE frameoffset != READSIZE frameoffset != READSIZE frameoffset != READSIZE frameoffset != READSIZE frameoffset != READSIZE frameoffset != READSIZE frameoffset != READSIZE frameoffset != READSIZE frameoffset != READSIZE frameoffset != READSIZE frameoffset != READSIZE frameoffset != READSIZE frameoffset != READSIZE frameoffset != READSIZE frameoffset != READSIZE frameoffset != READSIZE frameoffset != READSIZE frameoffset != READSIZE frameoffset != READSIZE frameoffset != READSIZE frameoffset != READSIZE ds.mpgsize != 0 i != NUM_SILTRACKERS ----------------------------------------------------------- The command window just stayed there like that. I've browsed these forums and I'm coming up empty on answers to this problem. All clues will be appreaciated! Edited by Guest |

Huh, that's really odd. I'm not sure what's up - I'm ripping that station now without trouble. Did you get StationRipper from the main D/L area on this site? So it DOES record, you just this messagebox? Let me play with it a bit and see if I can figure it out. -Greg

It starts recording, creates the file, starts writing, posts the error message, stops writing to the file. Once I click on OK it starts writing a few bytes back to the file. It keeps writing to the file as long as I keep hitting the OK button fast enough. If I stop hitting the Ok button and the station changes songs, it starts writing to a file with the name of the station ("CLUB 977 The 80s Channel (HIGH BANDWIDTH).mp3") and it doesn't give me the errors. Then as soon as a new song starts, it creates a file with the new song's name, zero bytes and pops up the error box and does the routine al over again, displaying the box around a dozen times. If I listen at the files it creates, in the cases where I hit the OK button fast enough or on the file named after the station I have proper MP3 data.

Did some digging searching for "streamripper frameoffset != READSIZE" Found this, which seems to be the same problem: http://www.ratajik.com/StationRipper/forum/forum_posts.asp?T ID=179&PN=1 Difference here: I'm running XP with SP1, not SP2 beta. FWIW I also have SQL Server Developer's Edition installed (an app I use uses it). Ok... I've narrowed down the problem. If I leave the option "Memory Record" checked on the Options dialog, I get all the errors mentioned above. If I uncheck "Memory Record", then no errors are reported whatsoever. This looks like a problem with the database thingy. Any ideas on workarounds or fixes? That's what makes StationRipper so attractive! |

Looks like I cheered too soon. Now the files after ripping remain in the \Work structure and are unplayable (Media format not recognized by WMP) although the ones in \Work\incomplete do play fine up until the break off.

You can post the log here (view->log, copy to clipboard and paste here). Or, try installing the above link to MDAC and see if that helps. -Greg |
