SR V2.93
Vista Ultimate x64
I bring up Slacker in a IE 8 browser.
When Slacker is playing, I go to View->Start StationSniffer

This is the post to the Console:
Output path: C:\Program Files <x86>\Ratajik Software\StationRipper\Work\
Work path: C:\Program Files <x86>\Ratajik Software\StationRipper\Work
Sniff all is ON
Relay Port: 20069

files begin to copy to the Work path ONLY. They never are transfered to the OUTPUT path?

I tried to set the output path to Ratajik Software\StationRipperStationRipper\Output folder and also to to a folder on another drive. The Output path is always posted in the Console as Ratajik Software\StationRipper\Work\ as I indicate above?

File transfers work for all SHOUTcast stations that I've tried, however.

Update:
I set both the options Work and Output folder to the same path on my output drive. The ripped files copy OK.
I guess I don't understand the purpose for having separate Work and Output paths unless this is a bug.

The Work folder is a staging area - as a file is created and downloaded, it goes there. Once it's done, it should move to output.

When this happens, is StationRipper showing that it is getting files? If so, if you click "Recording info" on the main screen, does it say why it didn't copy?

Thanks for the reply:
StationRipper does not indicate on the main dialog that it's getting files. However, the 'Console' output shows that files are being copied.

The RecordingInfo is blank. Nothing is posted to the Recording Info.

I have the Work and Output options set to the same folder on another drive where the files are being stored OK.

The Console shows the D+ and S+ as music is played on Slacker and saved in the Work option folder.

As my first append says, I start IE8 and navigate to Slacker.com. When a music files begins to play, I click View->Start StationSniffer.

Note that the sniffer entry line never changes as files are being transfered. That is, Track Name, Status, Size, Bitrate, and # are never updated as they are when a station is tuned in from SHOUTcast.

PS: When Slacker.com is connected to StationSniffer, IE will not allow another internet instance to be created and selected.

PS: I guess I didn't make it clear that files are being copied.
They are being copied to the Work area and are not transfered to the Output area as defined in the Options.

I originally had the Work area set to default and the Output set to my other drive folder. SHOUTcast tuned stations copy to first the Work folder and then are transfered to the Output folder.

This is not the case with Slacker.com being started from an IE8 browser. The files are transfered to the Work folder and are never transfered to the Output folder. Hence, I set my destination folder path in the 'Work' option path to save files in my destination folder.

The reason it's not being copied is for some reason the sniffer isn't able to communicate with the main app.

The sniffer works in "working". When it's done, it tells the main app, which copies it to complete.

The above will work I guess, but it's never going to show up in StationRipper.

Ummm - you could (temporarily!) try turning off your virus/firewall software and see if it works then. Or add StationRipper.exe and StationSniffer.exe to trusted apps.

If you try to record shoutcast (one the stations listed when StationRipper first comes up), does it work? Do you see the count go up in StationRipper as songs record?

1. All stations I've tried from SHOUTcast copy to the 'Work area' and then are copied to the 'Output area'. Yes, I see the count go up in StationRipper.

2. From the StationSniffer tab: Slacker radio doesn't accept my ID & password so I can't try Slacker from StationSniffer tab in StationRipper.

3. I start an IE8 browser session and go to www.slacker.com. My ID & password is accepted and I'm signed on. When Slacker shows my favorites, I click View->Start StationSniffer. I then select a favorite and songs are played and ripped to StationRipper session OK.

No, I don't see the count go up in StationRipper. But,I DO see the D+, S+, "Saving file to ..." activity in the Console window!

But note here that the songs are stored in the 'Work Area' and never copied to the 'Output Area'. There is NO log created in this situation
