Version 1.10 of StationRipper has been released.  Please visit the download area to get the latest copy.

Thanks to everyone that helped out with testing and suggestions!

Some of the changes includes in this release:

  • Max Stations that can be ripped changed to 200
  • Support for Windows 95, 98, and ME.
  • Added Proxy support
  • Added "allowed run time".  If this is on, it will "pause" the rippers during certain periods of time, re-starting them once that time has passed (e.g., if it's between 8 AM and 5 PM, StationRipper can be set to NOT rip.  Once it's 5:01 PM, it will restart ripping everything until 7:59 AM the next morning).
  • Multiple stations can be selected on MyStations, for restarting.
  • A "Restart Last X" button added to MyStations (so you can start the last, say, 50 stations at one time)
  • Added "stop/restart" all button (Pause all streams))
  • Added a song import.  If you recorded songs with some other app, this will import them all in, so StationRipper can use MemoryRecord on them (and SmartRecord in the future)
  • Added MyMusic browser.  Lets you do basic manipulation of the database (list songs, sort songs, delete songs (file, DB, or both), play songs)
  • Only give "Rip still running" pop-up on exit once, instead of for each ripper currently running.
  • Handle some errors a bit better between worker and main app
  • Added buttons for File/Dir select on option screen
  • Added counts on MyStations dialog
  • The "new version" pop-up will only pop up the first time a new version is available, instead of every time the app is run until you get the new version.
  • Allow delete of more than one station at a time in MyStations
  • Main screen cleaned up a bit
  • Support of password protected streams
  • Minimize to Toolbar
  • Logging (paths work now)
  • Bug Fix: Crashing when "X"'ing out of MyStations.
  • Added Max # of songs (will pause all ripping when hit).
  • Added Max # K (will pause all ripping when hit).

Please respond to this thread if you have any issues running this new version.

    Thanks!

    -Greg

Excellent release, excluding the problem with the relay stream I found few days ago, this is one great feature-packed gift for the first day of the new year. And as with every gift, our greedy attention turns for the next - could you share with us what you have planned for the next release and when do you think you want it released?

I am also wondering isn't it time to work on a slim but slick XP-ed interface, considering all Stream/StationRipper software lacks greatly in that department?

Nice job Greg. Previous difficulties have been fixed.
It is a joy to work with such a functional program.. Well done!
Give us a time line on your "availabilty" for January and I'm sure posters will keep you busy with suggestions... for now take a well deserved break. Have a happy and prosperous New Year.

I love your software, please always make this program free and accessible to everyone. Fails a little using dial-up but who cares! Sound quality is perfect for broadband!

    Thanx again,

The new version looks good, but one thing I really miss is the ablitity to go to the actual download folder.  Perhaps you could add a button on the "My Music" page so that I can go to that folder directly?  Also, I would like the ability to only see songs from a certain station in "My Music," rather than all of them together.

The main annoyance to this right now is that I can't drag songs to burn to a CD.  Plus, I have selected the option to have songs put in folders based on the station-- there's only one station at this time that I really care about and I work with mostly, I'd like to not see some of the other stuff that I don't want to delete.

Glad everyone is liking it :)

Good point, yellowking.  It would be easy enough to put that button on the MyMusic screen, which I will do ASAP.
