Hi Greg I was reading this article from Billboard regarding security issues http://billboard.blogs.com/billboardpostplay/2005/07/can_pod casts_in.html I know that Stationripper has a option to download valid media files only,my question is this,if there were a .vbs .pif or .exe file someway embedded in a media file and the real extension masked as noted in the article and the recent spate of malware being installed by fake DRM dialog boxes in downloaded .wmv files http://www.broadbandreports.com/forum/remark,12245912~mode=f lat http://www.broadbandreports.com/forum/remark,12298989~mode=f lat http://www.broadbandreports.com/forum/remark,12298989~mode=f lat Would checking this box prevent any type of malicious code or program from being downloaded ? does this only work if the file is showing it's true file extension or will it still catch it if it's true extension is hidden ?
