The throw it off.  It's sometimes random.

I'd like to have a overlap like this - I'll try to get it in a future version.

I have the same issues. I've been toying quite a bit with the file split functions, and havinglots of luck on certain streams.  Others however are totallythrowing me off.  Is it logical to think that once you hit on astations magic number *5 seconds before for example* that it shouldremain right or do certain stations broadcast in a way that isconstantly throwing this off?

Also on this subject,  is there any way to get StationRipper torecord 15 seconds before the song change and after, but do it in a wayso the next track will also? So it would overlap a bit? This way you'dhave an extra say 15 seconds on both ends of both songs, and could goin and use an mp3 trim program? Or does the program actually have toend recording on one to start the next?
