Every time I click on Listen, no matter what the station, I get an error message that says "unable to load station." This happens every time. Is there a fix for this? Do I need to have Winamp loaded before I click on Listen?

That generally means StationRipper can't get out to the station - do you have a firewall, and is it blocking port 80? If not, you could try posting the log (view->log) and I'll take a look. Thanks, -Greg |

I have just started using StationRipper 1.13 with Windows XP Pro and Musicmatch Jukebox 9.0. When I try to listen to a radio which I am ripping by either selecting the station and clicking on Listen, or by double clicking on the station, Jukebox is launched and the entry "http://localhost:10069" or "http://localhost:10070" appears in the Playlist Window. However, no sound is heard even if I double click the relevant entry or click on the play button. There are no error messages generated by either Station Ripper or Jukebox. Playing mp3 songs in Jukebox is not a problem. How can I listen to the radio stations through Jukebox? Could it be related to the fact that I have the Windows XP Internet Connection Firewall turned on? If so, what changes to the settings do I have to make to allow me to listen to the stations that I am ripping? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. fg |

Hi fg, Version 1.13 doesn't like anything besides WinAmp :) Version 2.0 should work. If you want to be added to the beta testers list, sign up for a forum account and let me know what the ID is, and I'll add you - you can see if it works for Jukebox :) Thanks, -Greg |

Thanks for the offer but I'm one of those who are "allergic" to beta software. I'll probably take the easy way out and download WinAmp instead. Thanks for the help. fg |

I also have a computer runnng under Windows 95 and the only free auido player I found that was speficied to run under Windows 95 was Sonique. And yes, it works fine with StationRipper as well, although I find WinAmp better. So for you guys out there still stuck with Windows 95, fret not, get Sonique at http;//sonique.lycos.com/ and enjoy! Sonique 2 is under development and I have no idea whether it will still run under Windows 95, so it may be a good idea to get the current version (1.96) just it case version 2 no longer runs under Windows 95. fg |
