Not sure on the REM/HBA issue - what kind of station were you recording them on (Sniffer, SmartSniffer, or Shoutcast?) If SmartSniffer, then may have a bug (others SHOULD be ok).
>>Shoutcast If you turn off the "Memory Record" on Advanced, does that get rid of that error? >>I haven't tried, since I need the functions that Memory Record provides. What is the warning message you get? (MDAC or something else?) >>MCAC >> Any thoughts about turning off the warning message every time a song is copied to the Output folder. Can this be turned off? |

If you're on the beta, the Memory Record should ONLY touch the MDAC related functions during record (so you should be able to turn it off - thus resolving the output folder issues).

Also, there are 62 songs stuck in the incomplete folder, all which are larger than my minimum size, dating back to 12/2 of this year. Is there any way to "force" SR to move them to the \output dir and add to Itunes or should I just delete them?

Everything to do with "Memory Record"- that is, detecting if a song is new, marking that it's saved the song, etc al (all MDAC functions that happen during recording).
I wish I had a way to easily BREAK MDAC on my machine, as it's painful to guess where you're getting errors :) But turn it off and record a few songs, with the beta - should work. On the incomplete folder - there isn't a way to suck those in. If they are complete songs, then you can copy them by hand. When deleting songs, I have always error on the side of caution - in this, not deleting the songs if something happened that made it unclear if they should be moved. I can look at putting a option to force-delete on exiting StationRipper, or something like that... |

>>Right, so I want to keep Memory Record on if I want to not have SR record multiple versions of the same song, right? |

I turned off Memory Record earlier, but the Beta version is still popping up a warning message every time a song is copied to the Output folder. Can this be turned off?

The Beta version is popping up a warning message every time a song is copied to the Output folder. Will this be turned off on the next release?

It looks like the beta continues to record even when the MDAC message pops up, so this is good.
There are recorded songs in the work\incomplete directory for the past week or so, it looks like SR is not purging them from the \incomplete directory. Is this a bug or normal behavior? |

On the incomplete - were they completed? (e.g., they got moved to output)?
I've always taken the point of view of trying to save as much as possible for the user... so don't auto-purge incomplete. I could look at adding this as a option (purge on exit or something). Here's the latest beta: http://www.stationripper.com/release/SR_V2.93SS-A.exe Run that. If Memory Record is off, is the error you getting include a popup called "Database problem" with a button that links to MDAC @ Microsoft, or something else? Thanks, -Greg |

Oh yeah, there's still that ever-growing list of R.E.M songs in the \working directory. It's like SR just puts anything with 3 periods in that folder

the incomplete folder is still holding files that were previously recorded and present in the output folder, plus there are incomplete files present, like 1k files that are not being deleted, even though I have the setting enabled to remove files smaller than 99k. Any thoughts?

The incomplete will never be cleared (I try to error on the side of keeping songs). Min-size filters only come into play when a song completes and gets copied to output - at that point, work should clear.
I will look at adding a option to auto-clear work, on exit. So is MDAC still coming up all the time? If not, when? Thanks, -Greg |

The MDAC box seems to be popping up every day, although SR keeps recording. I'm still getting a popup message each time SR writes a song to Itunes too.

Well, min-size filtering is not working, since there are a bunch of files under 99K in the working directory, probably created when my internet connection drops ocassionally. |
