I have the latest version of SR and itunes 9. I have the 'add completed files to itune" checked in the Settings>Itunes tab but no files are copied or added to my itunes. Is this a bug or am I missing a setting somewhere? This is running on Win XP.

Also, there are about 1,500 files in my /incomplete folder. They are quite large and I assume are complete, but not being moved to the appropriate destination folder and not being deleted. Any thoughts?

Sounds like there may be a error on copying to complete (which would also cause the iTunes issue).
Click the "Recording Info" button on the main screen, after recoding a bit. What's there? If you go to MyMusic, are songs listed? By default, it keeps incomplete in the work folder. You can change that by going to View->Options, Music Tab and checking "Delete incomplete files" -Greg |

in my staitionripper work folder there are files in the incomplete folder but again, nothing is being copied to my Itunes, why?

Yes, over 10,000 Are ANY files in the Output directory? Yes, 451 but no updates to Itunes |

it seems that the song files are being stored in the Work directory just fine and complete, but they are not being moved to the Output directory, nor copied to my Itunes. The datestamp on the last files in the Output directory are from 8/30, and all newest files are still in the Work directory!

CORRECTION, the files are staying in the /incomplete folder and not being moved to the Output directory. There are currently 1,800 files in the /incomplete folder starting from 9/3/09 to today, 9/10/09

So the iTunes is working fine under iTunes 8, but isn't auto-adding any more under iTunes 9. It is creating the new folders just fine, if needed - but the music never shows up.
I will take a look - may take a few days to track down what changed on their end. On incomplete - so is it saying WHY it is skipping the songs? It will only copy songs to the complete folder once it has what it thinks is a complete song AND that it is not a duplicate of a song you have already recorded. If you do the Recoding Info button after recording, it should say WHY it is skipping it. You can also post your log, and I can see if I can track down what's up What Station(s) are you recording? There may be something odd going on with them (that I could try to track down). Thanks, -Greg |

It did not work under Itunes 8 either. I just upgraded to 9 last night. I'm recording Radio Paradise.com and have been recording it for the past year with no problem up until August with itunes 8 and SR 2.93. I think I found the problem, but can't figure out the solution. The actual working directory created by SR is C:\Documents and Settings\boscoe\My Documents\My Music\_Stationripper\Work\incomplete Below is an SR log entry that shows failure to delete the file from C:\Documents and Settings\boscoe\My Documents\My Music\_Stationripper\Work\ so it is missing the \incomplete subdirectory, which is where the file is located. How can I fix this? Now all the rippd files are not being deleted from the \incomplete folder and there are about a dozen mp3 files in my output directory, but they are only 1kb each.

It sounds like it's running into some security issues. Are you by chance running Vista?
I would make a new folder (that YOU can create) for work and complete, and then point StationRipper to that and try again. If the app isn't allowed to write or delete, it's going to have issues. You could also try to run StatonRipper as administrator (not something I'd put forward as a fix, but a way to verify what's up). -Greg |

Well I did mention at my first post XP. I set the SR working directory to be the same as the diretory that the application is residing in c:\program files and I've restarted SR. I'll let it cook for a few hours and see what happens, thanks

Looks like SR is now managing the files in their respective directories, but not publishing to itunes. I'm running XP with sp2 and now, I keep getting an MDAC error from your application. When I download MDAC 2.8 and try to install, I get the following error. Please help!

Sorry for the delayed response, I've been out of town and have only been able to give limited support.
MDAC is a Microsoft DB component. It sometimes gets messed up on a maching (Used to see this a lot, but your the first I've seen in a while). There are a few ways to get it fixed, but try this first: http://www.macropool.com/en/download/mdac.html |

I downloaded and ran the applet from macropool.com but am still getting the mdac error message which stops recording until I click OK on the error panel. Can this be turned off so that recording is not interrupted?? I'm using a Win XP SP3 server which I monitor remotely via Terminal Service.
